A Spartacus Order is an order requiring an ISP or other entity with the relevant information to reveal the identity of a particular person. They can be used, for example, when an anonymous individual is defaming someone over the internet. In such circumstances, a Spartacus order can be served on the ISP which will require it to hand over any identifying information it holds about the individual, thereby enabling their identity to be ascertained.
