Steven is a solicitor specialising in reputation protection. His work covers defamation, privacy, copyright and intellectual property rights.

Steven regularly acts for high profile, high-net worth individuals and corporate brands on a pre-publication and post-publication basis.

Steven regularly acts on behalf of some of the world’s best known media and sporting personalities. Steven has acted on behalf of celebrities such as Naomi Campbell, Gordon Ramsay and Amy Winehouse.

Steven has experience in obtaining emergency injunctions on behalf of clients at short notice and obtained published apologies on behalf of former Chelsea footballer Andriy Shevchenko and internationally renowned chef Marco Pierre White from the Daily Mirror and the Evening Standard respectively. Steven also worked alongside John Kelly in obtaining of an emergency injunction on behalf of a celebrity couple in the important privacy case of 'X and Y'

In addition to his work protecting reputations, he acts on behalf of clients in relation to high profile road traffic offences and criminal matters. Steven worked alongside Simon Smith in the successful defence of Anton Ferdinand and John Kelly on behalf of Hollywood actor Christian Bale.

With the development of social networking sites and new media Steven enforces his client’s rights against those publishing private, defamatory or protected material to the internet; targeting, in particular, the owners of those websites and the internet service providers.

Steven also has a keen interest in sports law. His experience in this area was bolstered in 2007/8 during his training with Schillings when he was seconded to Wasserman Media Group (WMG), a global sports entertainment management company. He carried out work on behalf of footballer Robbie Keane, the Scottish Football Association and rugby player, Jonny Wilkinson.
