The Guardian newspaper published an apology to Jacob Zuma, South African Presidential Candidate and Leader of the ANC in today's edition of the Guardian over an article from March 2009. The 6 March 2009 article stated that Jacob Zuma was a rapist and guilty of corruption and bribery.
In their apology, the Guardian said they "would like to clarify that since the article was published all criminal charges against Mr Zuma have been dropped by the South African National Prosecuting Authority...We apologise for any distress or embarrassment caused".
