Kate Winslet is immediately issuing proceedings for libel against Grazia (issue 102) in respect of their 12th February 2007 issue. The story - on the cover and page 24 - falsely alleges she has been receiving treatment from a diet doctor in Los Angeles and further goes on to contrast this alleged fact with her well known views on the subject.
Our client is understandably concerned that republication of the defamatory allegations made will further damage her reputation and exacerbate the harm already caused. We therefore request that you place a legal warning on your library databases against the articles referred to so that the defamatory allegations are not repeated in your publication.
