The persistent harassment of Prince Williams former girlfriend Kate Middleton described by the government report on press regulation has highlighted the increasingly bold, aggressive and persistent tactics of the paparazzi in the UK, as the public thirst for photographic tabloid journalism and tittle-tattle is increased by a virulent tabloid press and the popularity of tabloid magazines such as Heat and Closer. The government report focused on the PCCs response to the hounding of Miss Middleton but how is the law moving to protect individuals from unwanted photographic attention?
