Bernie Ecclestone, the boss of Formula One motor racing, has no doubt about the best way to protect his privacy when he needs to. An article in The Times on 27 October detailed a conversation between Ecclestone’s biographer, Tom Bower, and the Formula One boss during research for the book, No Angel – the Secret Life of Bernie Ecclestone, to be published next year.
The Times recounts: Bower stuck so close to Ecclestone that, at one point, the biographer was forced to ask whether he was prepared to go through with the experience.
Ecclestone’s response? Tom, if I didn’t like this, I would tell you to f*** off and tell Keith Schilling to send you on your way.
