Jon is an Associate solicitor of the firm who specialises in protecting the reputations of blue chip companies and high profile individuals by deploying the established legal tools of defamation, privacy and copyright.
Whilst many clients prefer to keep their details confidential (particularly those in the corporate sector), the breadth of Jon’s work can be illustrated by some of his previous clients which are a matter of public record, who include Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Kate Winslet, Sam Mendes, Naomi Campbell, Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy Osbourne and Jonathan Ross. Jon’s successes in the higher courts include the cases of ASG v GSA, Straker v Tudor Rose (Court of Appeal) and Cream Holdings Limited v Bannerjee & Ors (House of Lords).
In addition to high profile trial work, Jon regularly deals with emergency applications to the court to obtain pre publication injunctions, often at very short notice. His client base is a blend of high profile individuals from the worlds of business, music, film, sport and fashion together with FTSE companies. Jon has wide experience of Alternative Dispute Resolution and where appropriate will advise his clients on the pragmatic use of ADR.
Jon is seeing an increasing amount of his work emanate from his relationships with corporate entities who find themselves, their shareholders and their directors under media scrutiny. Jon often advises companies on how they and their Senior Executives can be most effectively protected from the risks of coming under such scrutiny.
