David Carrington

David is a solicitor who acts for a number of corporations and high-profile individuals, both UK-based and international, protecting their reputation in the traditional media and also on the Internet. He has particular expertise concerning harassment by paparazzi  and  libel issues arising from online publication of user-generated content.
 
David has extensive in-house broadcasting experience covering television, radio and online. Prior to joining Schillings, he worked as an in-house lawyer at Channel 4 and the BBC and advised on defamation and privacy matters both pre and post publication, Ofcom Code compliance, IP and commercial litigation, contempt, reporting restrictions, judicial review and Freedom of Information matters including the first such case to go before the House of Lords. He has advised on a wide range of programmes from Dispatches, Cutting Edge, Newsnight and Panorama to Big Brother.
